It is a good move. China does not allow the Indian or any foreign infrastructure companies to deal with its infrastructure at all; with security being cited as a primary reason. Local players dominate in those projects. Again mass production has been one of China's strong hold, so one may not be able to bar the modules in India, as there is a dearth of good modules in the country. However, with 100% FDA allowed in the Indian infrastructure and the grid becoming intelligent with combination of efficient technologies, it is crucial that our grids are not completely vulnerable. There should be a healthy trade exchange between the two countries and trade should be reciprocal not one-sided.
