Despite receiving heavy rainfall for close to four months during monsoon and free flowing water from vaitarna, tribal villages in Mokhada and Jawhar experience a near drought situation every year. Administrative neglect to piped water schemes and inadequate supply of water tankers have added to the woes of locals. Panasonic Life Solutions India Pvt. Ltd. (Formerly know as Anchor Electricals) hence installed a set 6 Solar Submersible Pumps at the well heads During daytime, the water is pumped from the wells to the water tanks which are placed at higher level.
Through the drinking water project we had seen that tap water is easily accessible to the women and so they are giving more time for agriculture work, also seen that reduce of hard work of womens and save their time. Hygiene & cleanness in individual houses and the padas, due to that diseases outbreak and illness is less.
